Saving elephants from extinction

From sun-up to sun-down, and even in between, we never stop in our mission to protect elephants: We cannot envision a world without these majestic creatures. From our pilots setting out at dawn to start their aerial patrols, to milk bottles being fed to orphaned infants at dusk, and ambushes set by our rangers to catch would-be poachers under the light of the moon, we are working tirelessly to save elephants from extinction. Their plight has driven us for more than 40 years: In that time we have successfully rescued and raised 262 orphaned calves, our SWT/KWS vet teams have attended to more than 2,775 elephants, and our aerial and ground teams have patrolled millions of kms. We also take a holistic approach, working with local partners across Kenya to safeguard important elephant stomping grounds and employing pioneering tactics against the threats that threaten them: poaching, habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict. There is no pause button when it comes to raising elephants and protecting their home and thanks to you, our global supporters that stand with us, we are able to continue this work despite facing one of the most challenging chapters of late due to the coronavirus pandemic.
