Rapid change of conditions on Rachelle Drive

On June 9, 2021 crews responded to a working structure fire on the 700 block of Rachelle Drive in Station 2's district. Heavy wind created fire conditions that rapidly deteriorated while crew were inside fighting the fire. All members safely withdrew from the building prior to a catastrophic roof collapse. The fire was kept to the building of origin and no injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters.
